The Leadership Initiative for Change and Development (LICD) is a non-governmental organisation based in Nigeria, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of ethical, visionary, and socially responsible leaders. LICD focuses on empowering young Nigerians from the secondary to tertiary levels through leadership development programs, mentorship, capacity‑building workshops, and community‑driven initiatives designed to inspire long‑term positive change.

At the heart of LICD’s mission is a commitment to expanding access to quality education. The organisation actively funds the education of children living in orphanage homes across Nigeria, ensuring that vulnerable young people have the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams. LICD partners with orphanages, schools, and community stakeholders to identify students in need and provide scholarships, learning materials, and ongoing academic support.

Beyond education, LICD is deeply passionate about creating moments of joy and belonging for children in orphanage homes. Every year, the organisation hosts special Christmas outreach events that bring together volunteers, donors, and community members to celebrate with the children. These events include gift distributions, interactive activities, mentorship sessions, and festive celebrations that help children feel valued, supported, and remembered during the holiday season.
